When You Wish Upon A Star

Their aim is to grant the 'Wishes' of children suffering from a life threatening illness, from the age of 2 to 16. They have fulfilled wishes for very special children, and brought a smile to what can sometimes be a very traumatic time, not only for the child concerned but also for the families. The highlight of the Charity's year is each December to charter a planesand take local children to Lapland to meet the real Father Christmas.

St. Luke’s Primary School is a day special school for pupils with moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties aged from 3 – 11 years. There is provision for up to 120 children. Many pupils have additional problems such as autism, physical disabilities, visual impairments, hearing impairments and epilepsy.  The school provides an outreach service to primary schools and other early years providers (e.g. children’s centres, playgroups, nurseries) in order to support inclusion of children with complex learning difficulties.
