As a member of The Scunthorpe Round Table I am pleased to announce that I handed over an emergency cheque to the Scunthorpe Anti-Poverty Group today for £500
We have also arranged to pay the next 12 months rent for the lock up storage area of £2784 per year
Plus we may have some additional funding. It’s a shame that without our financial help the Scunthorpe Anti-Poverty Group may have had to close down
Scunthorpe Anti-Poverty Group gives furniture, bedding, kitchen packs and curtain packs to those who have just got a house or flat, which enables them to get on the employment list and give children a stable home.
Also it helps to prevent landfill. A small nominal charge for furniture and delivery applies. The furniture is theirs to keep.
