Don’t Get Done Get Dom

Press Release

Bob Riach of Riach Independent Financial Advisers to feature on the BBC consumer program Don’t Get Done Get Dom with Dom Littlewood and his team

To be viewed Friday 6th May 2011 at 11am (GMT)

In a highly emotive case, Dom Littlewood is called in to help a Scunthorpe couple Craig and Tracey Marshall whose five-year-old son Jack Marshall has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. The couple were led to believe they could claim on their critical illness policy to help ease the financial burden of their situation. But insurers Legal and General said no to their claim, and Dom is only too glad to challenge that decision.

Bob Riach of Riach Independent Financial Advisers based in Scunthorpe was asked to assist the Marshalls and Dom Littlewoods Team. And thanks to Bob’s advice Dom’s team managed to successfully help the Marshalls win the claim against Legal & General, however Bob has also advised that they could claim twice as the Marshalls had two separate policies.

One of the crucial points raised by Bob Riach was that people should seek Independent Financial Advice before arranging any form of protection insurance. Many of the online and direct products on offer sometimes cut costs by not including the additional options that are often included free within many products.

Bob said that as far as he is aware, The Children’s Critical Illness cover is included FREE with all Critical Illness products offered by Independent Financial Advisers.

You never know what is around the corner; if you haven’t arranged Critical Illness cover you should seriously consider it now. But remember seek Independent Financial Advice before arranging anything. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01113t7
